Functions
Inspired by the military tradition, the chronograph has 3 measurement scales and large pushers. The telemeter measures distance of sound traveled, tachometer calculates average speed according to distance traveled, and pulsometer records heartbeats.
Scratch-Resistant Dial
The sapphire coated double domed mineral glass used for the dial is anti-reflective and doesn’t get scratched or nicked easily.
Visibility & Precision
The watch offers amazing visibility thanks to the black, multi-scale glossy background with gilt numbers and gold syringe hands so you can quickly check the time when needed. It features Miyota 6S21 quartz (Japan) movement with smooth motion center chrono hand.
Water Resistance
It has a decent water resistance as it allows you to go under up to 50 meters, so you can take a dip in the pool or sea without worrying about the timepiece getting damaged.
Solid Design
Measuring 41mm wide, 49mm long, and 13.9mm thick, the Dan Henry is larger than the original piece, but still a reasonable size by modern standards. The case is brushed, as is the top surface of its fixed bezel, but a thick polished edge, along with shiny chronograph buttons and onion crown provide a refreshing change. Tall lugs with generously rounded ends reinforce the 1939’s substantial appearance. The screw-back case has Temperature, Fuel Consumption, Pressure and Speed conversions tables.
Strap Options
For a snug and comfortable fit, you can either opt for a 1939 leather band or a military grade Nato band – both are available in black and have an easy release strap as well.
